Guillem Farres and Triumph Racing have secured the MX2 World Championship title. Farres finished second in the first race in Australia, which was enough for him to clinch the championship. His teammate Camden McLellan won the first race, with Liam Everts finishing third.
Kay Karssemakers rode strongly, but a mistake midway through the race forced him to settle for seventh place.
