Steve Holcombe will not compete again this season. The Brit is dealing with an issue with his left wrist that requires surgery. The problem did not occur while riding. In consultation with Team Sherco CH Racing and Sherco, it has been decided to end his season early and put his full focus on recovery and 2027.
Holcombe would have preferred to end his season differently, but has chosen to have the wrist problem treated now. He has not provided any further details about the exact nature of the issue or the expected recovery period.
As a result of the surgery, Holcombe will miss the final round of the Italian Assoluti Championship. He has also had to withdraw from the British team for this year’s International Six Days Enduro (ISDE).
Steve Holcombe: “I’m disappointed that my plans for the 2026 racing season have had to be put on hold for now. I have an issue with my left wrist, which is unrelated to riding, and surgery is required to resolve it.”

For Holcombe, the procedure means that his 2026 season will end earlier than planned. The Brit is now looking ahead and aims to return fully fit to begin preparations for next season once his recovery is complete.
“It’s not how I wanted to finish my 2026 season, but I’m going to get the problem fixed, focus on my recovery and hopefully be back soon.”
