Jeffrey Herlings claimed victory in the first race in Shanghai. He came out of the first turn in second place but quickly took the lead. Behind Herlings, Romain Febvre finished second, while Tom Vialle came home in third. Jan Pancar, who has been riding strongly all weekend, finished fourth ahead of Pauls Jonass.
