Mads Fredsoe has finished the 2026 EMX250 Championship in fifth place. The Dane looks back on a season with mixed feelings, during which he showed flashes of strong speed but, by his own admission, was unable to consistently turn his potential into results. At the same time, his two-year collaboration with Cat Moto has come to an end.
Fredsoe enjoyed several strong moments throughout the season, but also had to deal with technical issues and changes within the structure around him. However, he does not want to place the blame for his disappointing season solely on external factors.
With the conclusion of the EMX250 season, Fredsoe’s two-year partnership with Cat Moto also comes to an end. It was a period in which both parties celebrated several successes together.
Among the highlights, Fredsoe won an ADAC title with the team, stood on the EMX250 podium and claimed an EMX250 race victory.
“After two years, our collaboration has come to an end. We have had happy and difficult days, laughed and cried. We have basically experienced everything together. The ADAC title, an EMX250 podium and an EMX250 race win are among the highlights. Thank you for these two years.”
A new chapter now begins for Fredsoe. The Dane will first return home to clear his head before switching to a 450 in preparation for the Motocross of Nations.
Mads Fredsoe: “P5 in the EMX250 Championship. It was, to put it mildly, a pretty disappointing season. There were moments when I showed some really good things, but overall, I never managed to put it all together on paper. I could write a lot about why things didn’t go my way this season. It was a combination of different things, such as technical issues and changes within the structure. But I also have to look at myself. I need to find the joy in the sport and the fire inside me again. Don’t get me wrong, I love this sport, but because of the circumstances, I simply haven’t been completely myself lately.”
