The penultimate round of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship at Budds Creek was contested in difficult, rainy conditions. On the muddy track, Hunter Lawrence and Chance Hymas ultimately emerged as the big winners.
In the 450 class, Hunter Lawrence was the strongest rider of the day. The Australian was unfazed by the challenging conditions and won both motos. With a perfect 1-1 score, he convincingly secured the overall victory.
Jorge Prado also enjoyed a strong day. The Spaniard finished third in both motos to claim second overall with a 3-3 score. Haiden Deegan completed the podium after finishing second and fourth.
Jett Lawrence had to settle for fourth overall this time. After finishing fifth in the opening moto, he bounced back with second place in race two. Mikkel Haarup delivered an impressive result, guiding his Triumph to 8-5 finishes and fifth overall.
In the 250 class, victory went to Chance Hymas. A second-place finish in the opening moto followed by victory in race two secured the Honda rider the overall win. Cole Davies won the first moto and finished third in the second to take second overall.
Landen Gordon secured third overall with 3-7 finishes, ahead of Julien Beaumer (8-4). Levi Kitchen endured a difficult opening moto, finishing just 14th, but fought back with second place in race two. That recovery was enough to secure fifth overall.
The rain and brutal track conditions turned Budds Creek into a true test of endurance, where staying mistake-free and finding traction proved just as important as outright speed.
