Denmark has announced the three riders who will represent the country at the Motocross of Nations in Ernée, France. Team manager Thomas Kjer Olsen has opted for a young but experienced line-up consisting of Mads Fredsøe, Nicolai Skovbjerg and Mikkel Haarup.
Haarup will compete in the Open class. The Dane made the switch to the 450cc class in the United States this season and has managed to secure several strong top-ten results. For him, it will be the first time representing Denmark on a 450 at the Nations.
Nicolai Skovbjerg will take the MX2 spot. He is enjoying a strong season in both the EMX series and the German Open Championship, where he has secured multiple race and overall victories. Skovbjerg also already has experience competing at the Motocross of Nations.
Mads Fredsøe will represent Denmark in the MXGP class. He, too, has made clear progress this season in EMX250 and the German Open Championship. Fredsøe has also previously shown that he can successfully step up a class for Denmark at the Nations.
Thomas Kjer Olsen:
“I feel that we are coming with a strong team. Mikkel, Nicolai and Mads all know what it takes to perform at the biggest race in the world, and all three are ready to give everything for Denmark. They have achieved strong results this season, and there has been clear progress from all three riders.”
