Lux Turner has secured his future for the next two seasons. The American has signed a two-year contract extension with Toyota Redlands BarX Racing, meaning he will remain with the team through 2027 and 2028.
Turner has made a strong impression in the SuperMotocross Championship in recent times. Just a few years ago, he was competing in the C classes at Loretta Lynn’s, but he has made significant progress, particularly over the past twelve months. He won the first three rounds of the Australian Supercross Championship before an injury ended his title hopes. He also recorded top-ten finishes in AMA Supercross, Pro Motocross and the SMX Playoffs.
The partnership with Toyota Redlands BarX Racing will now continue for the long term.
“It feels great to have signed my contract for the next two years. The team and I are continuing to build together as we work towards taking the next step. I believe the next two years with Toyota Redlands BarX Racing can be great, and that we’re going to surprise a lot of people,” said Turner.
The American says he feels very much at home within the team. “Within the first few weeks, I already knew I really enjoyed being here. Since then, it has only gotten better. Everyone within the team works well together, and it’s a great environment to continue developing yourself.”
For 2027, the ambitions are clear. Turner wants to consistently run at the front and take the next step in his career.
“Next year, the goal is very simple: to be on the podium, run up front and fight for the win at every race.”
