Glenn Coldenhoff claimed a convincing victory in the opening MX1 moto of the Brazilian Motocross Championship. The races are being held in Santa Cruz do Capibaribe, Pernambuco, where a double-header is taking place this weekend, featuring both the seventh and eighth rounds of the championship.
Dutch rider Coldenhoff crossed the finish line ahead of Fábio Santos, who secured an impressive third-place finish. Paulo Alberto grabbed the holeshot and led the field during the opening stages of the race, but his strong performance came to an unfortunate end following a heavy crash. Fortunately, both Paulo Alberto and Jeremy van Hoorebeek, who was also involved in the incident, were able to walk away under their own power.
The next MX1 moto is scheduled for Sunday
