Elliott Banks-Browne, a former British champion and GP rider, has signed on to come back to fly the British flag alongside Brad Anderson and Tommy Searle at the most anticipated event on the UK motocross calendar – the 2026 VMXdN Hawkstone, which is to be held at the iconic Shropshire Grand Prix circuit over the August Bank Holiday weekend with gates opening on Thursday, August 27th at midday.
The team is unchanged from the podium squad who represented GB in 2024 and 2025. Banks-Browne stepped up when the team needed him two years ago and has been a staple on the team since. This year, he will be putting the machinery gremlins he suffered in the 2025 event to bed and is racing a Geartec -supplied CR 250, partnered back up with legendary wrench Nick Owen. EBB is part of the Banks racing dynasty, so being an ultra-competitive racer is in his DNA.
Second on the team is multiple British champion and multi-time world vice champion Tommy Searle. TS100 is super motivated for what he calls his favourite event of the year, and he has always been able to step up for a big occasion; look at his impressive run of MXdN appearances for his country. Tommy has been selected for every event to date, but contractual obligations prevented him from racing at the first Foxhill race, though he was there all weekend to enjoy the event. He has selected his 2025 250 when offered a 500 ride; the DocWob team worked on the 250 to make it more rideable in the sand, and Tommy is more than happy; he will tell anyone who listens, “it’s a rocket”.
With a 100% attendance record representing his country at VMXdN, Brad Anderson is a no-brainer pick for the 2026 international squad. He has an impressive record, having been on the podium of every event to date. One thing you can take to the bank is Ando will put in 100% effort – he won’t leave anything on the table as he considers this the most important event of his year. Who could forget his legendary “sketchy” (Pourcel’s word, not ours) performance in the first team race of the 2025 VMXdN, where he battled with former world champion Christophe Pourcel, taking the win in front of his home fans.
