Jeffrey Herlings claimed victory in the MXGP qualifying race in Loket. The Dutchman took the lead from Tom Vialle in the opening stages and never looked back.
Romain Febvre finished second behind Herlings, while Tom Vialle completed the top three. Andrea Adamo crossed the line in fourth, ahead of Tim Gajser in fifth.
Kay de Wolf finished seventh to secure valuable championship points. Roan van de Moosdijk came home in 15th, followed by Calvin Vlaanderen in 16th, while Rick Elzinga finished 20th.
World Championship leader Lucas Coenen lined up despite his injury but headed back to the pits after just two laps, recording another retirement. Thanks to his victory, Herlings has now closed the gap to the young Belgian to just one point in the fight for the MXGP World Championship.
