Charli Cannon suffered a fractured shoulder blade during last weekend’s race meeting. The Australian crashed early in the opening moto but battled through the pain to secure an impressive second overall on the day.
Cannon entered the weekend full of confidence, but her hopes of a trouble-free event were quickly dashed when she crashed in the first moto. In addition to the fractured shoulder blade, she also sustained significant bruising in the incident.
Despite the pain, Cannon chose to continue racing and gave everything she had for the remainder of the day. Her determination was rewarded with second place in the overall classification.
The Australian will now focus entirely on her recovery in the coming weeks. At this stage, there is no timeline for her return to racing.
