Good news for Brent van Doninck. The Belgian rider of the Fantic Factory Racing MXGP Team has been given the green light to return to riding following a medical examination with a specialist in Herentals, Belgium.
Van Doninck crashed during the timed practice session at the MXGP of Italy and suffered lower back pain as a result. Due to these complaints, he was declared unfit to continue competing by the event’s medical staff and was unable to take further part in the Grand Prix weekend in Montevarchi.
Following additional medical examinations in Belgium, it has now been confirmed that Van Doninck is cleared to resume both training and racing.
For both Van Doninck and the Fantic Factory Racing MXGP Team, this is a significant boost ahead of the next Grand Prix, which takes place this weekend in Agueda, Portugal.
