Tim Gajser Wins Second Moto in Montevarchi, Jeffrey Herlings Claims MXGP of Italy Victory

Tim Gajser won the second moto in Montevarchi. The Slovenian crossed the finish line five seconds ahead of Jeffrey Herlings. Thanks to his victory in the opening moto and second place in the final race, the Dutchman secured the overall win at the MXGP of Italy.

Lucas Coenen finished third in the second moto, which was enough to earn him second overall in the Grand Prix.

Andrea Adamo, who led the race during the early stages, finished fourth. The Italian was forced off the track in a hard-fought battle with Gajser but was able to rejoin the race and continue on to fourth place.

Romain Febvre finished fifth ahead of Maxime Renaux. The Yamaha rider’s 2-6 moto scores were enough to secure third overall in the Grand Prix standings.

Calvin Vlaanderen had a more difficult race than in the opening moto and finished tenth. Rick Elzinga scored one championship point with a twentieth-place finish, while Jago Geerts crossed the line in fifteenth.
