Kay de Wolf Ruled Out for the Remainder of the MXGP of Italy

Kay de Wolf will take no further part in the MXGP of Italy in Montevarchi. Husqvarna Factory Racing has confirmed the news.

The Dutch rider crashed during the timed practice session in what the team described as an unfortunate and unavoidable incident. As a result of the crash, it has been decided to withdraw him from the remainder of the Grand Prix weekend.

“Following an unfortunate and unavoidable crash during yesterday’s timed practice session, Kay has been ruled out of further participation in the MXGP of Italy.”

The team has not yet released any further details regarding the nature or severity of the injury. Husqvarna stated that the focus is now fully on his recovery.

For De Wolf, the setback comes during what has been a strong rookie season in the MXGP class. The Dutchman was sitting fifth in the FIM Motocross World Championship standings heading into the Italian Grand Prix.

The team concluded its statement with a clear message: “Rest up, Kay. We’ll see you back soon.”
