Chase Sexton will not line up this weekend for the High Point National, the fourth round of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship.
The American rider is still recovering from injuries sustained in a crash during a training session on Friday ahead of the Thunder Valley National. As a result of the incident, Sexton was also forced to sit out the Thunder Valley event.
The team has confirmed that the Monster Energy Kawasaki rider has not recovered sufficiently to compete at High Point and will therefore once again be absent from the starting gate.
For Sexton, this is another setback in his pursuit of a strong result in the AMA Pro Motocross Championship. It remains unclear at this time when the former champion will make his return to racing.
