Cheered on by the French fans, Mathis Valin claimed victory in the MX2 qualifying race. The Frenchman briefly lost the lead to Guillem Farres during the opening lap, but when Farres made a mistake, Valin regained the lead and never looked back.
Liam Everts finished second ahead of Janis Martins Reisulis. Fourth place went to Guillem Farres, followed by Camden McLellan in fifth.
Kay Karssemakers was the best Dutch rider in eleventh place, while Gyan Doensen finished sixteenth and Scott Smulders twenty-third.
Among the Belgian riders, Sacha Coenen finished seventh and Douwe van Mechgelen twenty-second.
