Courtney Duncan returns to the WMX

Four-time world champion Courtney Duncan will make her comeback this weekend during the WMX in France after a long absence due to health problems.

The New Zealander had been sidelined for almost a year after being diagnosed with pericarditis, an inflammation around the heart. As a result, she was unable to train or ride for several months.

“It already feels like a victory in itself just to be back,” said Duncan.

After two years away from the GP paddock, Duncan is mainly looking forward to rebuilding her race rhythm and competing again at the highest level.
