Round 4 of the 2026 Motul ACU British Motocross Championship is here, and we’re heading to Landrake in the Cornish hills for what promises to be a spectacular day of racing. A stunning venue that always delivers brilliant action and plenty of drama, and Sunday’s racing should be no different.
With three rounds now done and dusted, Landrake takes us to the halfway point of the championship, and with the title fights heating up across every class, the stakes have never been higher.
In the RFX 125 class, Drew Stock carries the red plate into round 4 with a 29-point gap over class rookies Harley Marczak in second and Joel Winstanley-Dawson in third. But behind them, just 14 points separate the next six riders, making Landrake a crucial opportunity for the championship contenders to stamp their authority and rack up vital points as we hit the halfway mark.
The MX2 class has been one of the standout stories of the 2026 season. Charlie Heyman’s stunning 1-1 at Lyng, combined with mixed results from his closest rivals, sees him holding a chunky 32-point lead over Gyan Doensen, with Tommy Searle a further eight back and Joe Brookes just one point behind in fourth. It may be too early for Heyman to be thinking championship mode, but if he keeps up his consistent run of results in Cornwall, he’ll be very hard to beat. Can his rivals close the gap, or will Heyman extend his advantage even further?
In the Apico MX1 class, the battle at the top is incredibly tight. Ben Watson holds the red plate heading into Landrake, with his victory at Lyng seeing him eke out a five-point lead over Oriol Oliver and Conrad Mewse. Mewse comes in as the reigning champion, a five-time title holder, and will be desperate to claw back points and reclaim top spot. With three riders separated by just a handful of points, the MX1 class is set to deliver some of the closest and most exciting racing of the season. Also worth keeping an eye on in MX1 is Todd Kellett, who is taking his Team Motoblouz Honda for a spin on British soil, his presence adds yet another intriguing storyline to what is already a mouth-watering class.
And don’t forget, this is the only time this season that the Motul ACU British Motocross Championship heads to the Southwest, so if you’re within striking distance of Cornwall, this is your chance to catch the action live. Tickets are available online, or you can pay on the day at the gate. See you there.
