During the MXGP time practice session in Italy, Tim Gajser set the fastest time. Lucas Coenen finished second, followed by Jeffrey Herlings in third place. Romain Febvre came fourth, Ruben Fernandez fifth, and Kay de Wolf completed the top six.
In the MX2 category, Jānis Reisulis was the fastest. Guillem Farrés and Sacha Coenen finished second and third respectively. Full results are listed below.
