During the MXGP and MX2 free practice sessions in Italy, Dutch and Belgian riders delivered strong performances. Kay de Wolf set the fastest time in the MXGP class, followed by Jeffrey Herlings in second place. Tim Gajser finished third, Romain Febvre fourth, and Lucas Coenen completed the top five.
In the MX2 category, Sacha Coenen was the fastest. Simon Längenfelder secured second place, while Kārlis Reisulis and Jānis Reisulis finished third and fourth respectively.
