Nicolas Vennekens of VNT Racing demonstrated strong speed during the opening round of the ADAC Masters season in Grevenbroich, despite a challenging weekend.
In qualifying, Vennekens set the 25th fastest time, securing his place in the races.
However, he faced setbacks during the motos. In both the first and third race, he crashed in the opening laps in the first corners, forcing him to come back from the rear of the field each time. Nevertheless, during the first twenty minutes of both races, he posted strong lap times within the top 15. In the latter stages of the races, Nicolas experienced a noticeable drop in pace, partly due to not yet being at full physical fitness.
Despite the inconsistent results, there are clear positive signs. The speed is there and provides confidence for the upcoming races, especially once his physical condition is fully back to normal.
