With just over three weeks to go until the Dutch MX Season Opener in Lierop on the 1st of March, the entry list continues to grow in both size and strength. Registrations are coming in from all across Europe.
This week it was announced that the Fantic Factory MXGP Team, led by Jacky Martens, will also line up in Lierop with Alberto Forato and Brent van Doninck. The duo made a strong impression last weekend during the opening round of the Italian Championship in Alghero and will be in top form when the starting gate drops in Lierop.
Alongside this strong pairing, Roan van de Moosdijk will also take on the deep sand of Lierop. Van de Moosdijk enjoyed an impressive 2025 season, claiming the ADAC Masters title. He also showed strong performances in the Grand Prix races and secured pole position in Lierop last year. Nico Greutmann of Meuwissen Motorsport and Kevin Brumann of the MX Handel Husqvarna Team will also be present, ready to challenge MXGP stars such as Jeffrey Herlings, Kay de Wolf, Romain Febvre, Glenn Coldenhoff, Jago Geerts, and others.
The MX2 class is shaping up to be just as exciting. Liam Everts had already confirmed his participation in Lierop, and he will now be joined by Kawasaki factory rider Mathis Valin. Scott Smulders, who finished in the top five last weekend in Alghero, will also be competing, as well as the professional German Catmoto Team with Francesco Bellei, Mads Fredsoe, Liam Owens, and Roan Tolsma.

Last year, Gyan Doensen delivered a strong performance in Lierop by finishing third in the second moto. After a solid winter preparation, Doensen is set to begin his second season in the MX2 class. Maxime Grau will also be on the gate, along with talented Belgian rider Douwe van Mechgelen.
Riders who still wish to enter are advised to act quickly, as the classes are filling up fast. Please note that registration will not be available via the License2Race app, but exclusively through the following link:
