Febvre dominates first MXGP moto in Sweden, Herlings second

Romain Febvre was in a class of his own in the opening moto of the Swedish Grand Prix. The Frenchman grabbed the lead early and quickly built a gap on the field. Jeffrey Herlings put on a late charge but had to settle for a strong second place, with Calvin Vlaanderen completing the podium. Ruben Fernandez and Maxime Renaux rounded out the top five.

A dramatic moment came when Tim Gajser and Isak Gifting crashed hard while battling for third. Gajser was forced to withdraw with a damaged bike.

Glenn Coldenhoff crossed the line in sixth, Brian Bogers took 11th, and Roan van de Moosdijk finished 12th. Brent van Doninck grabbed the final championship point.

It was a tough moto for Lucas Coenen, who could only manage seventh, costing him 11 points to Febvre in the title fight.
