Despite a small mistake, Jett Lawrence won the first moto of the AMA Pro Motocross 450 class at High Point. Lawrence grabbed the early lead but stalled his bike a few laps in, dropping back to third behind Aaron Plessinger and Hunter Lawrence.
He quickly regrouped and reclaimed the lead within a few laps. From there, he pulled away and secured the win ahead of Hunter Lawrence and Aaron Plessinger. Justin Cooper and Eli Tomac finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
Jorge Prado got off to a great start and ran just outside the top five during the first half of the race, but eventually dropped back to twelfth. Benoit Paturel put in a solid ride to finish eleventh, and Valentin Guillod also scored points with a 17th-place finish!
