This Sunday, the grand finale of the Dutch Masters of Motocross will take place in Markelo. Romain Febvre has won all four motos in the 500cc class so far and appears to be on track to claim his first title in this category.
If Febvre manages to finish ahead of Jago Geerts in the first moto, he could secure the championship early.
One rider to definitely keep an eye on is Brian Bogers of Fantic Factory Racing. The Eindhoven-based rider currently sits in fourth place in the standings and still has a strong chance of finishing third—or even second. Bogers is only 7 points behind Geerts in the current rankings.
Of course, all eyes will also be on Jeffrey Herlings. The five-time world champion is steadily regaining his form and will be highly motivated to put on a strong performance in this final race in Markelo.
Going into the finale, Sven van der Mierden holds an impressive fifth place. The Laurense Motors Kawasaki Racing Team rider will do everything he can to maintain his position in the top five, which would make him the highest-ranked privateer. Meanwhile, Micha Boy de Waal and Nick Leerkes are currently tied for tenth place and still have a solid shot at moving up in the standings.
Don’t miss the final round in Markelo, and witness firsthand who will take home the titles.
