Nicolas Vennekens of the VNT Racing KTM team gained a lot of experience during the fifth round of the MX2 World Championship in Arco di Trento, Italy. The track in Arco di Trento is very challenging, featuring a hard, slick surface, tricky rhythm sections, and significant elevation changes.
On Saturday, Vennekens took his time to get familiar with the track and gradually pushed his limits. His rhythm improved steadily, which eventually led to him qualifying 24th for the race.
The first moto started with a setback, as Vennekens got caught in a pile-up on the opening lap and lost a lot of time. He had to start his race from far behind the last rider, leaving him with no chance to fight for points. Nevertheless, he maintained a solid rhythm and crossed the finish line in 29th place.
In the second moto, he managed to stay out of trouble on the first lap and found a good rhythm early on. Vennekens gave it his all, but it wasn’t quite enough to score points, finishing the race in 24th position.
Next weekend, Vennekens will be back in action for the next Grand Prix, which will take place in Frauenfeld, Switzerland.
