MXGB & MXGB Youth 2027 Provisional Calendars

The ACU British Motocross Championship is delighted to unveil its provisional calendar for 2027. The eight-round series will get underway in March and build to a thrilling conclusion in September, with a ninth date held in reserve. The calendar has been planned around the provisional MXGP calendar wherever possible, giving riders the opportunity to take on selected MXGP / EMX rounds, and the MXGB team are also working closely with other championships to give riders as many opportunities as possible to race and compete throughout the year. Off the back of a fantastic 2026 season, the ACU & MXGB team are already hard at work to make 2027 the best yet.

Paul Irwin, MXGB Series Director, said: “It’s great to have the 2027 dates confirmed so early, giving riders, teams, partners and fans plenty of time to start planning for what promises to be a brilliant season. The new ruling allowing us to run alongside fly-away MXGP rounds really opens the calendar, and it’s an exciting step that gives the championship room to grow, with the potential for more rounds in future years. The 2026 season showcased the incredible strength and depth in British motocross, and we’re determined to keep that momentum building. There’s a lot going on behind the scenes and we can’t wait to share more over the coming weeks and months.”

MXGB Youth Championship 2027

There’s plenty to look forward to for the next generation too, with the MXGB Youth Championship dates also confirmed. Five rounds will run from March through to October.

Colin Hambridge, MXGB Youth Series Director, said:“The MXGB Youth Championship is where the next generation of champions are developed, and we couldn’t be more excited to unveil the provisional dates for the 2027 season. By announcing the calendar early, we’re giving riders, families and teams the best possible opportunity to prepare and plan for what promises to be an outstanding year of racing.

We’re also delighted to confirm that for 2027 the 65cc, 85cc and MXY2 classes will adopt a race format inspired by the current EMX structure. This is a fantastic step forward for our youth programme, creating an even more professional and competitive environment while helping young riders gain valuable experience that mirrors the pathway to European-level competition.

The standard of youth motocross in Britain continues to grow year on year, and with this exciting new format alongside a strong calendar of events, 2027 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting seasons yet. We can’t wait to see the riders on the gate and watch the future stars of our sport battle it out throughout the championship.”
