Guillem Farres claimed victory in the opening MX2 moto in Loket. The World Championship leader took over the lead from Janis Reisulis halfway through the race and never looked back.
Behind the Spanish rider, his teammate Camden McLellan finished second. The South African launched an all-or-nothing attack in the final lap but crashed in the process. Fortunately for McLellan, his gap to third-placed Janis Reisulis was large enough to hold on to second. Karlis Reisulis finished fourth, while Simon Längenfelder rounded out the top five in fifth.
The best-placed Dutch rider was Gyan Doensen with a strong tenth-place finish. Kay Karssemakers crashed shortly after the start but fought back impressively to finish 13th.
