Bad news for Liam Owens. The Australian EMX250 rider has announced that his season has come to a premature end following successful shoulder surgery.
Initially, it was hoped that Owens would be able to return to racing sooner, but his recovery has taken longer than expected. As a result, the current seventh-placed rider in the EMX250 Championship standings will not compete again this season.
Despite the setback, the talented Australian remains positive and is already focused on making his comeback.
“The surgery was successful. Unfortunately, my shoulder recovery is taking longer than originally expected, which means my season ends here. This isn’t how I imagined it, but setbacks are part of the sport. My new goal is to return for the final round. I’m fully focused on my recovery and I’ll come back stronger than ever. This isn’t the end—it’s just another chapter in my story. I’ll be back!”
Owens had been one of the front-runners in the EMX250 Championship this season and was running third in the standings before his injury.
