Team Honda Maddii ABF Italia shines in South Africa: Maxime Grau takes eighth overall!

Johannesburg (South Africa) – The Motocross World Championship made its highly anticipated return to South African soil after many years of absence for the eleventh round of the season. On the picturesque and technical Johannesburg track, Team Honda Maddii ABF Italia secured another highly significant result thanks to a solid performance by Maxime Grau in the MX2 class.

The young French rider confirmed his excellent form, capturing a great eighth position overall in the Grand Prix, once again demonstrating steady growth and a strong feeling with his Honda.

Race 1: The first moto saw Grau ride with intelligence and determination. Despite the challenges of a demanding track and making his debut on this circuit, Maxime maintained a consistent pace, crossing the finish line in a solid tenth position and pocketing valuable points. Race 2: The real masterpiece came in the second moto. Thanks to a clear improvement in race pace and an aggressive yet clear-headed riding style, Grau managed to climb through the field, battling with the category’s best and finishing in a fantastic eighth place.

Thanks to the combination of both results, Maxime Grau wraps up the Johannesburg trip with eighth overall for the day, a placement that boosts morale and confirms the great work done alongside the entire staff of the team led by the Maddii family.

Marco Maddii Team Manager: “Returning to race in South Africa, and particularly here in Johannesburg after such a long time, was exciting and motivating for everyone. We knew it wouldn’t be easy, but Maxime rode incredibly well. In Race 1, he studied his opponents well, and in Race 2, he made that leap in quality that allowed us to clinch eighth place overall. We are truly satisfied with his progress and the development of the bike.”

Team Honda Maddii ABF Italia now returns to Europe to prepare for the upcoming world championship rounds, with the goal of consistently establishing themselves in the top positions of the MX2 class.
