- The 9-time World Champion races with an exclusive Troy Lee livery for his return to AMA Pro Motocross.
The Troy Lee Designs Red Bull Ducati Factory Racing team continues to celebrate a landmark season as nine-time MXGP World Champion Tony Cairoli prepares to contest three rounds of the 2026 AMA Pro Motocross Championship aboard a one-of-a-kind Ducati Desmo450 MX featuring an exclusive Troy Lee designed graphics package.
While Cairoli’s return to American motocross has already been announced, his machine will make its debut with a truly custom livery that celebrates the heritage and racing history shared between Ducati and Troy Lee Designs. Inspired by Ducati’s iconic original racing stripe, the design incorporates signature Troy Lee Designs elements, blending timeless Italian racing tradition with the unmistakable artistic style that has defined the TLD brand for decades.
The collaboration builds on the relationship first showcased in 2025 when Ducati and Troy Lee Designs announced their groundbreaking partnership during the Desmo450 MX’s first public appearance in the United States. One year later, that vision has fully evolved with the Troy Lee Designs Red Bull Ducati Factory Racing team campaigning the Desmo450 MX in the SMX Championship with Justin Barcia and Dylan Ferrandis.

For Cairoli’s three-race AMA Pro Motocross campaign, the concept has been elevated even further. Personally designed by Troy Lee, the graphics package retains Ducati’s legendary racing stripes while introducing one of Troy Lee Designs’ most recognizable signature details—hand-drawn pinstripe flames. A defining element throughout Troy Lee’s career, the custom artwork gives the Desmo450 MX a unique identity worthy of the nine-time World Champion’s return to American competition.
The special livery arrives during a milestone year for both Ducati and Troy Lee Designs Red Bull Ducati Factory Racing. As Ducati celebrates its 100th anniversary, the team’s inaugural AMA Pro Motocross campaign has already delivered several memorable achievements, including Dylan Ferrandis capturing fourth overall at Hangtown with a top-five finish, Justin Barcia earning two top-three heat race finishes, and now welcoming Tony Cairoli to the program for Red Bud, Southwick, and Spring Creek.
Cairoli’s addition also marks another first for the organization, with Troy Lee Designs Red Bull Ducati Factory Racing fielding three riders in AMA Pro Motocross competition for the first time in team history—another milestone in Ducati’s rapidly growing presence in American motocross.
