Everything Still to Play for in Thrilling Cad2M Dutch Masters of Motocross Finale in Halle

HALLE, The Netherlands – A championship finale could hardly be more exciting. On Sunday, July 12, the prestigious Cad2M Dutch Masters of Motocross will conclude at the famous De Kappenbulten circuit in Halle. With no champion crowned in any of the classes, every title contender still has everything to race for, setting the stage for a day packed with suspense, spectacular racing, and world-class motocross action.

The biggest attraction is undoubtedly Jeffrey Herlings. ‘The Bullet’ has claimed an incredible 117 Grand Prix victories, making him one of the most successful Grand Prix motocross riders of all time. The five-time World Champion remains just as hungry for success as he was at the start of his career. While he was once renowned for his relentless attacking style, Herlings has evolved into a calculated and experienced champion who knows exactly when to make his move.

However, victory is far from guaranteed. During the previous Dutch Masters round in Markelo, Herlings was beaten twice by Kay de Wolf, who demonstrated that he currently belongs among the very best riders in the world. De Wolf’s participation remains uncertain due to injury, but even without him, the starting field is nothing short of exceptional.

Reigning World Champion Romain Febvre will line up alongside Glenn Coldenhoff, Calvin Vlaanderen, Rick Elzinga, Brent van Doninck, and Jago Geerts. It is a lineup that rivals a Grand Prix in quality, with virtually every rider capable of fighting for victory.

Local riders will also be well represented. In the MX1 class, Boris Blanken hopes to deliver a strong result on his home circuit. In MX2, local favourites Jeroen Bussink, Senna van Voorst, and 17-year-old Dani Heitink will be looking to impress. All three know De Kappenbulten better than anyone and will be eager to perform in front of their home crowd.

The MX2 class is set to provide another thrilling battle. Liam Everts, son of ten-time World Champion Stefan Everts and grandson of four-time World Champion Harry Everts, is determined to prove once again that motocross runs in his DNA. Following his impressive performance in Markelo, the Belgian is among the favourites for victory. Nevertheless, he will face fierce competition from talented Latvian brothers Kārlis Alberts Reišulis and Jānis Mārtiņš Reišulis, who currently occupy the top two positions in the championship and continue to impress on the world stage each week.

The championship battle in the 125cc class is equally wide open. Experienced Erik Eggens will be aiming to end the season on a high at the demanding Halle circuit, while Timo Heuver arrives as the championship leader and the rider with the strongest title prospects.

Hosting the finale at Halle only adds to the spectacle. De Kappenbulten boasts a rich Grand Prix history and is widely regarded as one of the most technical sand circuits in the Netherlands. The track demands the very best from both rider and machine and is considered by many top riders to be the ultimate test of technique, fitness, and determination.

With every championship still undecided, an international field packed with world-class riders, and a circuit where even the smallest mistake can prove costly, all the ingredients are in place for an unforgettable finale of the Cad2M Dutch Masters of Motocross.

On Sunday, July 12, the champions will finally be crowned in Halle. One thing is already certain: every title will have to be fought for until the very last lap and the very last race.
