Julius Mikula will be forced to take a break from racing in the coming period following the head injury he sustained during the MXGP of Germany in Teutschenthal.
The Czech MX2 rider crashed during the Grand Prix weekend and suffered a head injury. As a result, he will miss the next round to allow for a full recovery.
The injury comes at an unfortunate time in the season for Mikula. He currently sits tenth in the MX2 World Championship standings and has been putting together a solid campaign in his first full season at this level.
The team has stated that the primary focus is now on his recovery. If everything goes according to plan, Mikula is hoping to make his return at the race in Montevarchi, Italy.
