Jago Geerts Also Confirmed for the Dutch Masters in Markelo

It started with just the Dutch Masters of Motocross in Harfsen, then he also appeared in Oldebroek, and now Jago Geerts of the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP team will be lining up on Sunday, May 18th for the final round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross in Markelo.

Geerts currently holds second place in the 500cc standings, trailing Romain Febvre by 26 points. He already reached the podium in both Harfsen and Oldebroek, delivering his best performance in the second moto at Oldebroek, where he managed to put Febvre under sustained pressure for much of the race.

Last year, it was Jeffrey Herlings who took the win in Markelo. Herlings is on the comeback trail following a serious knee injury and hopes to challenge both Febvre and Geerts in Markelo.

In addition to the highly competitive 500cc class, local rider Cas Valk has a chance to claim his first-ever Dutch Masters title in the 250cc class. The 125cc category promises fireworks, with just five points separating Douwe van Mechgelen and Dean Gregoire. And of course, the 85cc class should not be overlooked, as it always delivers exciting races.
