Nicolas Vennekens of VNT KTM Racing scored five points during the seventh round of the MX2 World Championship held in Agueda, Portugal. In challenging conditions, Vennekens managed to finish in eighteenth and nineteenth place.
The Agueda circuit looked great on Saturday morning, but unfortunately, this changed quickly. Just before the qualifying heat, heavy rain began to fall, turning the track into a muddy mess. Vennekens rode to a twentieth-place finish and looked back on the qualifying day with satisfaction.
The rain continued, making the conditions in the races even tougher. It turned into an endurance test for both riders and their machines. Vennekens battled through and delivered two consistent motos, earning him eighteenth and nineteenth places.
These results placed Vennekens twenty-first in the overall standings for the day and kept him in twentieth place in the championship standings. The next Grand Prix is scheduled for the upcoming weekend in Lugo, Spain.
