The EMX125 and EMX250 Championships kicked off for the AIT Racing Team this past weekend in Cozar, Spain.
Due to poor weather conditions, the race turned into a mud fest. The conditions were very difficult, and the riders had to focus on survival.
Vencislav Toshev lined up for the first race of the EMX125 Championship in Spain. In the first race, he came out of the start in around fifteenth place. Despite crashing twice, he completed a strong race and finished in ninth place. His start in the second race wasn’t as good, and after five falls, he crossed the finish line in sixteenth place. With these results, he ended up in thirteenth place overall for the day.
Hakon Osterhagen competed in Spain in the first race of the EMX250 Championship. He is still searching for the right rhythm and consequently crashed several times. Despite this, there was improvement, and he continues to work hard to achieve better results. In the first race, Osterhagen failed to score, but in the second race, he managed to grab three points with an eighteenth-place finish.
Jake Davies struggled to find the right rhythm during qualifying on the challenging Cozar circuit. Due to making too many mistakes in his attempts to set a fast time, he didn’t make it into the top forty and therefore did not qualify for the race.
Next weekend, the EMX125 and EMX250 Championships continue in St. Jean d’Angely, France.
