Unleashing a New Era of the Weston Beach Race – Bold Changes, New Classes, and the Birth of a Championship.

The future of beach racing just got a whole lot brighter. RHL Activities and the Auto Cycle Union (ACU) have officially joined forces in a landmark partnership set to redefine the world of sand racing in the UK. This groundbreaking partnership not only strengthens the foundation of the iconic Weston Beach Race but also paves the way for a new chapter – the introduction of the British Sand Racing Championship.

This partnership is about legacy, innovation and the next generation of sand racing” said Gareth Hockey from RHL Activities. “We’re not just talking about incremental change – we’re talking about bold moves that will see new riders, new formats, and a new era of competition of beach racing in the UK.”

ACU’s Tim Lightfoot echoed the sentiment:We are delighted to continue the long standing relationship with Gareth and the RHL Activities Team for the next 5 years and beyond in developing the sport of sand racing in the UK. As we know sand racing is both fast growing and hugely popular in terms of participation and attendance. The long term partnership between the ACU and RHL as market leaders in sand racing events provides a great foundation for us to build an exciting new sporting discipline as part of our wider aim to support and develop British Motorcycle Sport”
