SSC to broadcast 2024 FIM World Supercross Championship in Middle East and North Africa

SSC to bring FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) to thousands of viewers by airing live race coverage and event highlights in 2024

SSC will broadcast the FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) in the Middle East and North Africa for 2024 as the countdown for the season-opening WSX Canadian GP, held at BC Place in Vancouver, continues.

With a reach to MENA, SSC will play an integral role in WSX’s mission to bring top-flight Supercross action to new audiences across the globe and will air two-hour live shows for each event in the upcoming season, alongside highlights.

Following the first race of the campaign in Canada on 26 October, WSX will complete a historic double-header event at HBF Park in Perth, Australia, on 23-24 November, before competing in the United Arab Emirates on 4 December with the WSX Abu Dhabi GP.

Taking place at Etihad Arena, the WSX Abu Dhabi GP will see two World Champions be crowned, with the race taking place only a handful of days before Formula 1’s season finale at the Yas Marina Circuit.

The 2024 WSX season will mark the series’ most competitive campaign to date as an international grid of the world’s best Supercross riders come together to battle it out for top honours.

Alongside the return of reigning two-time World Champion, Ken Roczen, the season will also see Motocross and Supercross legend, Eli Tomac, race in the series, alongside stars Dean Wilson and Joey Savatagy, who won the inaugural WSX Abu Dhabi GP in 2023.

Tom Burwell, CEO, FIM World Supercross Championship, said: “The Middle East and North Africa has become a world-leading region for global sports events, and since racing in Abu Dhabi for the first time last year, we’ve seen a growing appetite for Supercross action. While in-person event experiences are at the core of WSX’s DNA as a championship, we also need to ensure that the series is accessible to our audience, while also delivering a high-quality, premium viewing experience from home which allows viewers to properly immerse themselves in the world of our sport. SSC is the perfect broadcast partner for us to do that in the MENA region, and I’m looking forward to sharing the excitement of the upcoming season with new fans and new audiences in 2024.”

Amill Lone, CEO, Saudi Sports Company, said: “As SSC continues to solidify its role as the home of premier sports in the region, we are thrilled to bring the 2024 FIM World Supercross Championship to audiences across the Middle East and North Africa. With motorsports rapidly growing in popularity in the Kingdom, this partnership allows us to showcase elite Supercross talent and further our mission of delivering world-class sports experiences. We look forward to generating excitement for this iconic series and engaging new fans with each race.”
