Ups and downs for AIT Racing in Arnhem

The AIT Racing team had ups and downs in the MXGP of the Netherlands in Arnhem.

Vencislav Toshev was riding in the EMX125 class. He had a good qualifying and was eleventh fastest in his group. In the first moto he had a setback because while riding between the 13th to 15th position in the first lap he made a mistake and crashed. He had to retire from the race and wasn’t able to ride in the second moto. He will do everything he can to be fit for the next round in Switzerland this weekend.

Federico Tuani and William Kleemann went out in the MX2 class. In the beginning of Saturday Tuani was struggling to find his rhythm but in the qualifying heat and in both motos it went much better. In both motos he managed to finish in nineteenth place and scored four points. In the first moto he was riding consistent lap times but lost some time behind another rider. Due to this it was too late to catch the riders in front of him and had to be satisfied with nineteenth position.

In the second moto he crashed in the second corner and had to come back from last position. During the race he gave everything he had and charged back to eighteenth place. In the closing stages of the race he lost a position and finished in nineteenth again.

Kleemann just came up short of scoring points in Arnhem. In the first moto he got stuck behind a crash in the start and had to come back from almost last to finally finish in 22nd position. In the second moto he ran out of energy for some reason. When he tried to push he couldn’t hold on to the bike. Due to this he finished in 21st position.

Petar Petrov was riding in the MXGP class. Petar was lacking speed all weekend but tried to make the best of it. In the opening moto he took a pretty good start but had a nasty get off and was forced to retire from the race. He took a good start again in the second moto and he was riding in twentieth position. He was feeling well and was fit enough to push in the last fifteen minutes of the race. Unfortunately he got a bike problem and was forced to retire from the race.

The team will now travel to Switzerland for the next round of the MXGP Series in Frauenfeld this weekend!
