Billy Askew of the Bike It Dixon Kawasaki team suffered a broken thumb during the free practice session of the EMX250 race in Teutschenthal, Germany.
Askew has already undergone surgery and hopes for a speedy recovery. Naturally, he will have to miss several races due to this injury.
After the race in Germany, Askew is seventeenth in the standings and has already finished in the top ten twice!
