Federico Tuani of the AIT Racing Team has scored a top fifteen moto finish at round five of the world championship MX2 in Agueda, Portugal. Tuani finished in fifteenth position in the first moto but in the second moto he wasn’t able to ride due to a mechanical problem.
Things weren’t going as planned on the Saturday but Tuani turned things around for the Sunday. The track circumstances were really muddy and it rained from time to time on Sunday morning. Tuani was riding a consistent race in the first moto and managed to finish in fifteenth position. Tuani was happy with his riding and was motivated for the second moto.
Unfortunately he wasn’t able to race the second moto due to a mechanical issue.
Because he didn’t score points in the second moto, he finished in 22nd position overall.
Xavier Cazal had a difficult weekend in the EMX250 class in Agueda. Cazal struggled to find his rhythm on the track. He qualified in 30th position and in the first moto he crossed the finish line in 26th position. After three crashes in the second moto he came home in 28th position. Cazal will analyze what is wrong and concentrate on the rest of the season.
The AIT Racing team will now travel to Spain for round six of the World Championship MX2 in Lugo.
