Herlings wins second moto MXGP Portugal

Jeffrey Herlings has won the second moto of the MXGP in Portugal. Herlings immediately took the lead and ran away from the rest of the field. Herlings won the heat by a large margin ahead of Pauls Jonass and Cornelis Toendel. Jonass thus secured the Grand Prix victory.

Romain Febvre rode in third place for a long time, but ran into problems in the final phase and finished fourth, which gave him second place in the daily rankings. Jeremy Seewer came in fifth.

Tim Gajser came back to tenth after a crash in the first corner.

Jorge Prado crashed hard after the start and lost a lot of time. Yet he came back to twelfth place, just one position ahead of Glenn Coldenhoff.
