Delvintor Alfarizi of the JM Racing Honda team scored four points in the twelfth round of the MX2 World Championship in Lombok, Indonesia. Alfarizi retired in the first moto with a clutch problem but came back in the second moto to finish seventeenth and took four points.
It was the second consecutive weekend that a race was held at the Selaparang circuit. This time the track was in the opposite direction and Delvintor was having a good time on the track. In free practice and time practice he still lacked some rhythm but this was already better in the qualifying heat. He got a good start and was in the top fifteen in the first half of the race. After that, he had to slow down a bit and finished seventeenth.
He started Sunday with a good feeling but unfortunately he had to deal with a clutch problem in the first moto. Alfarizi had to retire from the race and therefore didn’t score.
With new motivation, he started the second moto and was able to start the race in the top fifteen. In the first fifteen minutes he was in fourteenth place but then had to drop the pace. Alfarizi fell back to seventeenth place and managed to hold on to this position until the finish flag.
In the day’s classification, Alfarizi finished in twentieth place and is now thirty-fourth in the standings. In the weekend of 20 and 21 July, the JM Racing Honda team will race the next Grand Prix in Loket, Czech Republic.
