Kay de Wolf has won the opening moto of the MX2 class in Indonesia. Simon Laengenfelder was leading in the first half of the race but due to a crash he lost the lead to de Wolf. The Dutchman kept his head cool and despite a mistake in the closing stages of the race he held on to win the moto. Mikkel Haarup was keeping de Wolf under pressure till he made a mistake and lost second position to Andrea Adamo. Haarup came home in third in front of Liam Everts and Sacha Coenen.
Lucas Coenen crashed in the beginning of the moto and came back to seventh!
