Febvre wins MXGP qualifying heat in France

Romain Febvre won the qualifying heat of the MXGP class in France in front of his own audience. Febvre suffered a sore wrist in free practice, but seemed to have little trouble with it in the heat. He led from start to finish. Tim Gajser came home second ahead of Jeremy Seewer, Jorge Prado and Kevin Horgmo.

Jeffrey Herlings crashed in the last lap and lost a position and finished tenth.

Glenn Coldenhoff crashed in the early stages and did not get further than 22nd place. After a crash at the start, Pauls Jonass retired from the race in the beginning.
