FUNCHAL (Portugal), 11 July 2014 – Youthstream is pleased to announce Donjoy has recently opened a physiotherapy center which is present in the paddock at every European round of MXGP.
Donjoy has been supporting FIM Motocross World Championship riders since 2008. The companyDJO Global, who is specialized in orthepedics, have been supporting riders such as Antonio Cairoli,Steven Frossard, Rui Goncalves, Jose Butron and Livia Lancelot to name a few, with the Donjoy kneebraces and helped them with recovery and pain relief through Compex electronical muscle stimulation.
As a further investment in the Mobile Medical Clinic Project, Youthstream initiated the idea of Donjoy joining forces with the Mobile Medical Clinic to form a onsite physiotherapy center available at all European rounds of MXGP for free of charge.
After the agreement of collaboration between Youthstream, Donjoy and the Mobile Medical Clinic, the paddock of MXGP will now have the ultimate medical facility. The Mobile Medical Clinic is equipped with echographie and X-Ray machines to diagnose injuries while the Donjoy Physio Center provides physiotherapists and the use of their PT material, Compex electronical muscle stimulation and ice machines. The staff representing Donjoy, who are specialized in Compex treatments taping, sports physiotherapy and massage, is available since the MXGP of Spain to all riders, team members, media representitives and the rest of the population free of charge.
The Donjoy Physio Center, headed by Thierry Sarasyn with permenant physiotherapist Annick Dellaert, is located inside the Mobile Medical Clinic outer area.
