Although we are just one week into the new year, Kristian Whatley and the MVRD Husqvarna squad have mutually agreed to part ways. “A difference of opinion” was given as the reason behind the move, which leaves Whatley in a state of flux entering the 2017 Maxxis British Championship.
“A further team announcement will be issued soon,” according to the press release. This is expected to announce who will sit alongside Harri Kullas in the various British series. A statement from Whatley is also expected in the near future.
Whatley previously missed the second half of the 2016 Maxxis British Championship due to ongoing personal issues. It remains to be seen whether these put a strain on his relationship with MVRD.
