The break in the 2020 Monster Energy Supercross schedule was beneficial for Broc Tickle, who suffered a hand injury at round eight in Arlington. The JGR Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing rider missed two rounds before COVID-19 halted proceedings, and then had enough time to build his fitness back up ahead of round eleven in Utah today. Another crash in the first practice at that event left him with an injury to his right hand, however, as he explains in the following statement.
“In the first practice I had a little crash. The bike came down and I punched it. I ended up breaking my other hand on the outside. Hoping to be back next Sunday. See you guys there.”
No specific details on the injury have been released yet. If Tickle does indeed make it back on track next Sunday then he’ll only miss one more round of 2020 Monster Energy Supercross, that being round twelve on Wednesday evening.
