Another one bites the dust! The first round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross series, set to be held Harfsen on March 29, has been cancelled due to Coronavirus fears. The event joins many, many other sporting events across the globe that have either been postponed or cancelled. There is no word on whether Harfsen will be rescheduled at this stage.
The promoters of the Dutch Masters of Motocross series have actually got another problem on their hands. The Grand Prix of Trentino has been moved to July 18/19, which is the same date as the final round of the domestic series. That event was going to coincide with Zwarte Cross, a music festival that houses thousands of fans as well as the final Dutch Masters round, so rescheduling is not an option. The only alternative is to find a different venue on a different date – something that promoters are currently working on.
The second Dutch Masters of Motocross round is currently scheduled to be run at Oldebroek on April 13. One would presume that is going to get called off closer to the time though.
