Good news out of Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha; it has been confirmed that Dylan Ferrandis is okay after that crash in the 450SX main event at round seven of 2021 Monster Energy Supercross. Ferrandis was pictured sat with medics, which obviously alarmed viewers, but the following quote from the Frenchman confirms that he will be ready to race at Orlando 2 on Saturday.
“It was a difficult day with only two practices on a tough track. I managed to get a good start in the main and was feeling good. I tried some different rhythm sections then ended up crashing. I got hit by the rider next to me in the stomach and couldn’t breathe for a moment. I was okay in the end, but my race was over.”
Ferrandis now sits tenth in the premier-class standings, just two points behind his teammate Aaron Plessinger. A second at the second round, Houston 2, is a season-best finish for the rookie.
